New Lathe and Star's Triumph update

Got an old gearhead Clausing Colchester 15" from Jacksonville a little while ago. I'm able to make parts much faster than the belt driven Sheldon I had before.

KDK quick change tool post allows for two tool heights on the same holder, just flip it over and it's good to go!

Got the engine pulled and getting striped down to determine the damage the sludge trap caused

something is missing on the right side of that engine....

See you there!

It's True!!

You know the story, as its been told time and time again, cruising along doing about 50 and all of a sudden you hear a very loud, terrible noise come from beneath you, pull in the clutch and coast to a stop. After checking to see if it was tranny or bottom end JW started tearing this thing down to discover the following....

Drain Plug revealed some very bad signs

We can weld that shit up!!

From here the cases seem to be ok, let's hope it remains the case once we get inside!

Not the cylinders though

Yes HF, this is not a story it is true!, ALWAYS tear these old Triumphs down to the trap and check it out to ensure this doesn't happen.
